Privacy and cookies

This page covers the website editorialpack.io, which is operated by EditorialPack. EditorialPack is the data controller for any personal data described here. It is a small informational site: there are no accounts and no payments, and the only form is the optional comment form on blog posts. The short version: nothing is tracked unless you accept analytics cookies, and you can change your mind at any time.

What this site collects

  • Analytics, only with your consent. If you press Accept in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited and how visitors arrive. If you press Decline, or do nothing, Google Analytics is never loaded and no request is sent to Google.

  • Email you send us. If you write to hello@editorialpack.io, we receive your address and whatever you include, and use it only to reply and to follow up on your enquiry.

  • Server logs. Like any web server, ours keeps standard access logs — IP address, time, requested page and browser user-agent — for security and troubleshooting. We do not combine them with anything else.

  • Blog comments, if you post one. See Comments below.

We do not sell personal data, and this site carries no advertising.

Comments

Commenting on a blog post is optional, needs no account, and sets no cookies. The comment system runs on our own server — no third-party comment service is involved.

  • What you give us. Your name and your comment, which are published on the post once approved, and — only if you choose to enter it — your email address, which is never published and is used only so we can reply to you.
  • What we record. The time of posting, and a one-way keyed hash of your IP address. The hash lets us limit how often one connection can post; it cannot be turned back into your IP address, and the address itself is not stored with the comment.
  • Moderation. Every comment is read by a person before it appears. We do not publish spam, abuse or advertising.
  • How long we keep it. Published comments stay for as long as the post is online. Comments we decline are deleted.
  • Removing your comment. Write to hello@editorialpack.io from any address, tell us which comment is yours, and we will delete it and any email address stored with it.

Cookies and local storage

Changing your choice

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to reopen the banner. Choosing Decline there stops Analytics immediately and deletes the _ga cookies from your browser.

Google Analytics

When enabled, Google Analytics 4 processes usage data on our behalf: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address (GA4 does not store the IP address itself), device and browser type, and the referring site. Google may process this data on servers outside your country. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including the EU, the EEA and the UK — you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these, write to hello@editorialpack.io.
